In the heart of Sherwood Park sits a 500 seat Festival Place which hosts local, regional and national theatre and musical performances year round. Millennium Place is the ultimate addition to Sherwood Park as it houses twin ice surfaces, often used by the Edmonton Oilers for practice sessions and soccer surfaces, a fitness facility, and an aquatic centre with a wave pool.
Sherwood Park also boosts a small community atmosphere, yet with its proximity to the city of Edmonton it has virtually everything a prospective resident would want. To the east of Sherwood Park are small communities, acreages, farmland and lots of outdoor recreational facilities.
